Legislative Committee

Members of the MACo Legislative Committee include representatives from Maryland's 23 counties and Baltimore City. Each county gets one vote on the Legislative Committee. The Committee meets regularly on Wednesdays at the MACo office during the General Assembly Session. During the Interim, the Committee meets quarterly to develop legislative priorities for the coming year.

Committee Meetings are held based on need; therefore, some may be cancelled. In the event of inclement weather, please see the HOME PAGE of this website or call the office before traveling to Annapolis.

Be advised that downtown Annapolis parking is scarce during the U.S. Naval Academy Commissioning Week in May, the first and second weeks in October (U.S. Power Boat and Sailboat Shows) and during the General Assembly from mid-January through mid-April.

• Legislative Committee 2010 - Members representing all 23 counties and Baltimore City meet quarterly during the Interim and regularly on Wednesdays during Session. Every county gets a vote.
• Tax SubCommittee 2010 - Reviews legislation regarding tax and revenue issues and makes recommendations to the Legislative Committee.
• Education SubCommittee 2010- Recommends action on education issues to the Committee.
