2009-2010 Directory of County Officials

Published bi-annually late summer, this 435-page, comprehensive statewide Directory lists all county and state elected officials and appointed officials, including key department personnel, State government agencies, Governor's office staff, all General Assembly members and Maryland congressional delegation members. It is published every two years and is distributed as a membership service to county and State elected and appointed officials and other select groups. Others may purchase copies. Tax Sales - County By County: Who to Call

This is a list of persons to call in each county who can provide you with tax sale property listings for that county. This list does not include tax sale properties - only the contacts in each county finance office who can provide that information. (MACo does not have this information.)

Salary Survey of Maryland County Governments

Published annually late fall, the FY Salary Survey of Maryland County Governments will again be available fall 2009. It includes the salaries of county elected, appointed and hired full-time positions for all Maryland counties and Baltimore City. The Survey is distributed to county elected officials, county administrators and county human resources directors and is also available for sale.

Report of County Budgets, Tax Rates & Selected Salaries

Published annually late spring, the Budget and Tax Rates Book (BTRB) contains data compiled from a fall survey of all Maryland county budget and finance offices. Includes population data estimates and income from the State of Maryland Office of the Comptroller and the Departments of Assessments & Taxation, and Health and Mental Hygiene.

Courthouse News

Published regulary during the Maryland General Assembly session January through April and every six weeks between May and December. The Association's newsletter includes articles about current issues facing local government, association news, conference information, and job openings.
