Professional Organizations

Thirteen organizations, representing some of the professional county government staffs, are affiliated with the Maryland Association of Counties (MACo). These groups work to improve their own capabilities and assist the association in formulating its legislative program. The groups vary in meeting frequency, structure, and focus.

Scheduling Affiliate Meetings

Affiliate groups are encouraged to schedule their meetings at the MACo office. Groups are discouraged from scheduling meetings at MACo during the October boat shows and the May Navy Commissioning week due to severe parking shortages.

Meetings may not be scheduled two weeks prior to the Winter Conference in December, the Summer Conference in mid-August, or on Wednesdays during Legislative Session.
