2014 Substance Abuse Summit

MACo's Substance Abuse Summit

June 12, 2014
9:30 am - 3:30 pm
Cecil College

Substance abuse – for both prescription and non-prescription drugs – has escalated in Maryland, triggering the alarm from all parts of the state. Counties are working to curb this epidemic – with responses from within their own jurisdictions and at the state level. Addressing the prevention, identification, treatment, and community ramifications of substance abuse require collaboration among many different departments – executive, administrative, public safety, law enforcement, health, and social services, along with many others, are all in the mix and all are needed as part of effective solutions.
