December 10, 2009 - During their last meeting, the Workgroup adopted six fiscal recommendations and reached consensus on several changes to MOE law. The first of six fiscal recommendations was amended.
November 19 meeting
November 5 meeting.... the Department of Legislative Services provided an overview of the Maintenance of Effort (MOE) requirements for education and the Workgroup heard from the Maryland Association of Boards of Eduction (MABE) and the Public School Superintendents Association of Maryland (PSSAM).
October 22 meeting... MACo submitted a follow-up response to workgroup member questions from the October 8 meeting and the local government presentation. DLS provided several documents at the meeting. Reports and documents having most relevance to local governments are listed below:
