Maryland Association of County Administrative Officers
The Maryland Association of County Administrative Officers is one of MACo's first affiliate organizations. MACo recently added two sub- affiliates: the County Human Resources Directors; and the County Information Technology Directors. The organizations' mission is to provide a network for county leaders to ensure that the highest quality programs and procedures are being utilized in Maryland's counties.
The organization elects officers at the MACo Winter Conference and its officers serve a one year term. Several events are held annually, including both the MACo Winter Conference and the MACo Summer Conference, and the annual
Fall Administrators and Attorneys Conference.
Many County Administrators are also members of the International City Managers Association.
