Safety Measures and Program Changes for 2021

MACo has made the following changes to ensure participant comfort and safety at the 2021 Summer Conference:

  • ONLY registered participants (attendees, exhibitors, speakers/moderators) will be allowed into the Convention Center
  • Masks are required
  • Temperature check and daily Wellness Monitoring pre-screening are required by the Convention Center and must be completed and verified through a provided mobile app before entering the building - PLEASE BRING A MOBILE DEVICE TO COMPLETE YOUR DAILY PRE-SCREENING (if you are unable to use a mobile device for pre-screening, please contact to make alternate arrangements)
  • Anyone who fails the pre-screening will be asked to leave immediately, or quarantined in a designated room separated from other participants while they arrange transportation to leave
  • Social distancing will be enforced in meeting room seating, exhibit halls, meal events, etc.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be provided throughout the building
  • Visible safety signage and social distancing reminders will be posted throughout the building
  • No meals will be held in the exhibit hall
  • Guests must be seated when consuming food or beverages
  • No children are allowed in the Convention Center at any time (children are invited to attend our outdoor Crab Feast, if registered in advance)
  • Taste of Maryland Reception and Kids' Party are not possible for 2021
  • MACo is striving for a paperless event - there will be no speaker handouts and MACo will print a limited number of program booklets, instead focusing on an event mobile app for additional materials and session schedule. PLEASE BRING A MOBILE DEVICE and your charger
  • All participants agree to MACo's Hold Harmless Waiver
