Executive Director | Michael Sanderson

Guides the overall vision and operations of the Association, Board of Directors, and Executive Committee, and provides strategic direction over legislative advocacy. Liaison to MACo's County Administrators Affiliate. Trustee of the Local Government Insurance Trust (LGIT). Co-hosts MACo's Conduit Street Podcast.

Member Services Team

Virginia White

Deputy Director | Virginia White

Leads the daily operations of the Association and its staff, contributing to the overall strategic direction of MACo regarding services and resources. Leads the Member Services team by coordinating all events, overall communications, marketing, outreach, research, and partnership plans. Manages all facets of conferences and events for the Association. Contributes to advocacy campaigns and legislative testimony processes. Liaison to MACo's Board of Directors, the Academy for Excellence in Local Governance, the National Association of Counties (NACo) Financial Services Center, and NACo's High Performance Leadership Academy.

Sofia Pablos-Aguirre

Administration Specialist | Sofia Pablos-Aguirre

Serves as the hub of office operations by maintaining the office facility, managing office/vendor relationships, and serving as conference registrar. Facilitates financial and personnel processes, along with MACo member LGO badge applications.

Communications Coordinator | Shantelle Malcolm-Lym

Manages the Association's social media channels, website, Conduit Street blog, and e-newsletter. Produces MACo's Conduit Street Podcast. Coordinates promotional efforts for Corporate Partners and sponsors. Highlights MACo member news and activities. Contributes to MACo's advocacy campaigns and messaging. Liaison to MACo's County Communications and PIO group.

Leads member engagement efforts, working directly with MACo affiliate members to plan their activities and events. Facilitates MACo's Legislative Committee nomination process and meetings. Coordinates MACo's one-day events and affiliate retreats.

Provides administrative support for all MACo activities. Coordinates in-house meetings and member requests for MACo meeting facilities. Manages MACo's database and conference speaker registration process. Facilitates phone and email inquiries and leads or supports other projects to advance the Association's work.

Corporate Relations Manager | Regina Brzozowsky

Facilitates opportunities for corporate entities to connect with MACo’s members and conference participants. Coordinates and implements partnerships, sponsorships, and exhibit shows.

Research Coordinator | Kim Frock

Facilitates MACo's information-sharing services through conducting and publishing research on county functions and services. Coordinates MACo's Salary Survey and Budget and Tax Rate Book, manages MACo's statewide appointments process, provides research support for MACo's advocacy efforts, and tracks legislation. Serves as liaison to the National Association of Counties (NACo) Research Center.

Kevin Kinnally

Legislative Director | Kevin Kinnally

Leads MACo policy staff in review of legislation and coordinates advocacy to advance county positions. Contributes to MACo publications and co-hosts MACo's Conduit Street Podcast. 
Policy Areas: Elections, Emergency Services, Finance, State Budget and Fiscal Issues, and Taxes and Revenues 
Liaison to MACo's Budget & Finance, Emergency Managers, along with Elections Officials, and the Tax Collectors Affinity group (within MDGFOA).

Dom Butchko

Director of Intergovernmental Relations | Dominic J. Butchko

Takes on external duties to build relationships within the county community, especially in Annapolis-facing endeavors, and with State agencies who interact with county leaders and services. Reviews legislation and contributes to MACo policy advocacy and publications. 
Policy Areas: Environment, Infrastructure, Land Use, and Housing and Community Development. 
Liaison to MACo's Engineers, Planners Affiliates, the Rural County Coalition Chapter Organization, and the MACo County Legislative Staffers Group.
